The FoLIAGe Research Group has moved to Cornell!
In August 2025, The FoLIAGe group relocated to the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University, in Ithaca, NY. We also welcomed three new students to the group – check our People page.

Reem authored an OpEd in the Seattle Times: Open spaces, open minds: Community forests plant seeds of consensus.

Our paper characterizing community forests in the U.S. was highlighted on NW Community Forests Coalitions’ website.
Our global assessment of community forests got some media attention and commentary:
Previous work on land grabs was highlighted on Phys.org: “Touted as development, land grabs hurt communities, and women most of all.”
